Guide for International Students Interested in a PhD in Our Lab

Thank you for your interest in pursuing your PhD research in our laboratory. Please note the following essential steps for international candidates:

1. Required Entrance Examination You must pass the entrance examination of SOKENDAI (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies), which is the degree-granting institution.

3. Highly Recommended Preparation: Internship We strongly encourage all prospective candidates to spend a few weeks to one month in our laboratory as an intern before taking the entrance examination. This allows both the candidate and the lab to ensure a good fit. Our institute offers a competitive, but highly beneficial, internship program for foreign students every year.
